Our Construction Courses

We prepare you for career success in individual, personalized classes where you work directly and individually with a PMP certified instructor who guides you through the course at a pace and schedule you control with a one-year time limit from the date you start.

Communication is Critical

You will practice making presentations and running meetings privately, working with your instructor. Your instructor will play the role of the customer and managers and ask you the kind of questions they ask about your project plan and status report presentations. So you get to practice giving answers on the spot and you get lots of feedback. You practice in private sessions, just you and your instructor, in our web video meeting room. You use a web camera and we give you written feedback and a video of your presentation so you can review it and see what you need to do better next time.

Learn by Doing

You manage a project from start to finish, actually doing all the tasks of a PM. You meet in simulated sessions with executives and your team. You "learn by doing" and you get coaching on each step.

  • You meet online with a customer and ask about their requirements. You get instructor feedback on your questions.
  • You develop an MS Project® schedule and send it to your instructor for coaching and pointers.
  • You review the team's progress and make a status report to the executive with a plan for corrective action. Then get instructor coaching on your work.
  • Your team has a major conflict that you have to solve. You get feedback on your technique.

Learn the "Best Practices"

We teach you the best practices and give you templates you can follow for each step including:

  • Planning the project
  • Assessing risk
  • Assigning work to your team
  • Estimating
  • Spotting variances to plan

All our courses have been approved by the Project Management Institute (PMI) so you know you are learning the right techniques.
